Ooo, I'm liking the look of the second one. In this case, adding the spots involves pseudo-embroidery. I have already finished crocheting the wings, and the feathers at the end are actually black, to match the ears, so I'm not entirely sure how the coloring would work out in coordination there. There's also spot spacing to consider (I need to space the spots roughly the same distance from one another as on the griffin's body, and there's the fact that I won't be able to put spots in the exact same place on the other side of the griffin's wings, unlike the tiger-griffin's stripes). Hmm; I may have some sketching of my own to do.
