soc_puppet: Dreamsheep as Lumpy Space Princess from Adventure Time (Default)

Wow, that's a lot of nothing in there.

I have something to admit that I'm not terribly proud of. I... *pause for dramatic emphasis* am addicted to raspberry ice tea. I had six glasses tonight. Six. That is far too many. But the waitress just kept on bringing them when I'd emptied the previous glass... And then it was right there in front of me... I couldn't help it!
See, we went out to eat for my mom's birthday. Technically, her birthday is three days before mine, and mine has been over and done with for eleven days now, but what she wanted for her birthday was for all of the in-town family to get together and sit down and eat a meal.
Mom: They don't come for Thanksgiving, they don't come for Christmas, so I'll make them come for my birthday as their gift, and they'll have terrible guilt trips if they don't.
So the in-town family all got together (well, except for cousin-in-law Jill, but she had a good excuse) at a restaurant and ate food. And I drank far too much raspberry ice tea, but I mentioned that already.
Jean, the not-on-paper aunt-in-law, told us about the Alpaca she has named Blackberry. Apperantly, the alpaca's pregnant. We spent several minutes discussing names for the potential alpaca baby (I learned that twins do not make it to full term and basically don't survive at all T-T, which is sad). At first it was "'Thorn' if it's a boy, 'Blossom' if it's a girl" because their names would go together, but at the end of the discussion it was 'Suitcase', which I found priceless. (Alpaca Suitcase! Get it? XD)
Gifts were passed around, good times were had, and everyone ate too much. (The food wasn't as good as the stuff I had in Europe, particularly the German and Austrian stuff, but it wasn't bad either.) My cousin Shaun told me twice how well I did on my last Shinkendo test, which was... um, comforting to hear, I think. I mean, he'd know better than I would, but it's really the only kind of test I ever get stressed over (I am cool as a cucumber when faced with academic tests) and I was really stressed out over that one. And during that one. But whatever. Over now, only need to study for the next one >_<. Which, thankfully, will not be until another three months from now or so.
In fandom-related news, I think I'm beginning to feel like writing again. I was having a terrible time getting started on anything for the past week, but I should be able to manage something soon. I also need to edit a few bits of Communications so the timeline makes more sense, etc, because a few bits _definately_ nudged in between the last one I posted and the last one I completed >_<.

Brain: One thing at a time, dear.
Socchan: ...You have no place to talk, you know.
Brain: It only applies to fic universes. Now get cracking.
Also, I have an idea for a Tsubasa/MK crossover, and I need to be told whether to write it or drop it, as I cannot decide anything for myself. And then, if it's a go, I have to decide whether to include it in the Misinformation universe or not.
And that straight line from Tsubasa 3 is still bugging me. Someone ask me about it so I can tell you and get it off my chest.
As far as art goes, I'm working on a couple of holiday plunnies that latched on a while back. Thing is, they're not for the early winter holidays. They're Valentines art plunnies. *scowl* *grumble* Least I have plenty of time to finish...
Finally (I hope *knock on wood*), I got Furuba volume six today ^___^ <3. I'd been looking for it since Ysabet mentioned she got a copy, and I finally have one of my very own ^_^.
Socchan: And it has MOMIJI on the cover ^_____^ <3 <3 <3~!
...Well, I like Momiji. I can't help it. And I'm of the opinion that if Tohru has to choose just one person, it should be him. (But if she can have two, give her Kyo _and_ Yuki ^_^. Then they'll _have_ to learn to get along. <--- likes sharing)
I think it has something to do with the German. Or the bilingual thing. (Because if they're bi one way... (I got that way with Jodie-sensei, too ^^; I have this thing for her; I fangirl her madly. She is my tiny English fix in a world that is otherwise completely foreign.))
...I've gotta be about the only person in school who likes the idea of school uniforms. Huh.
Okay, enough confessions now. Time for... something else.
