Stuff
Large Group Speech is doing a choral reading of Dante's Inferno, and 'Kenchan's making the costumes. Since she doesn't have a sewing machine, that means she drops by my house and uses mine. We kinda end up using it together mostly, and making our own patterns/altering old patterns. It's fun ^_^. We made a white hakama about a year ago this way so she could dress up as Kenshin. Anyway, I mention this because the costume design that Mr. Hartwig okayed for the person reading as Dante is actually the costume for Dante of the PS2 game Devil May Cry 2. (Not only is Mr. Hartwig my World Lit teacher, he's in charge of Large Group Speech.) It just amuses me to no end, really.
We're thinking of doing a beatnick poet look for Virgil, and Hannah's probably going to kill me if I actually go through with the costume I'm thinking of for the She-Wolf of Incontinence. (What I would love to do is just give her furry paws, ears and a tail, and then dress her up like a punk with a ripped T-shirt saying 'BITCH' in large unfriendly letters, but I don't think it would be allowed ;_;...) Since she needs to change costumes half-way through, she wants it to be easy to put on/take off (or, I'm reasoning, convenient to wear over something/pull something over), and what I have tentatively designed is not. Oh, well ^_^. One has to get all out of life that she can while she can, and Hannah is fun to pester from time to time.
I'm over half way through Going Postal (I made sure my brother got a signed, first edition of it for Christmas; it's one he hadn't read, which, to me, is worth eighteen he has) and enjoying it very much. I'd quote something at you, but I don't remember where what I wanted to quote is.
Status of New Years presents:
Ysabet's: Done ^_^. Sadly, I can't get to a scanner until Jan 3.
Phantom Kaito's: In plotting stages. I have what I want to do mostly thought out, I just need to re-read the comics from that story line to make sure I get everything right.
Icka's: Also in plotting stages. Again, just a few details to check up on before I get it in writing. And a last-minute decision to make. I also have a picture in the works, just in case you manage to weasle this fic out of me. In the event you don't, it'll just go up as general art. (Or, if you prefer, you could request the art instead of the fic; they both have the same subject matter, really.)
Summercloud's: Working on it ^^;... Took me a little bit to find the author in question, but I am reading.
Other Plunny Status:
Need to get back to work on Communications -_-. Problem is, the one chapter thing is stalled because I keep on sleeping in, and the bandwidth at kaitokid.esmartkid.com gets used up mega-fast. Again, one of those little detail things. The other chapter happens after the one, and one version is finished, but Summercloud (my beta) made a really good point, so I'm going to try and re-work it. Have an idea that might work, though, so that's good.
Small Things: Just sitting there, really. A few things are finally getting worked out, but how the heck to I make Heiji go to school instead of hiding out at the Professor's? It's just no fun if I can'ttorment him get him out of the house.
Other Random Plunnies: The zombie thing has been nibbling at me, as well as the Pastfic thing and half a dozen other bunnies. One of these days I need to go through my plunny hutches and seperate out the ones that are going to turn themselves into epics *coughcough*Communications*coughcoug* from the ones that will be content to remain as short stories (though that isn't always a guarantee, what with people asking questions and making observations afterwards *eyes Misinformation and Sword of Kings pointedly*) from the short sceene ideas. Some of the short sceene ideas don't really need a fic on their own and can just be enfolded into something bigger--though I'm going to try and avoid this with my crack pairing fics -_-.
That last Shin'ichi and Hakuba thing is also slightly stalled, but should be okay after a brief jump-start.
