I finally finished the first draft of the pattern for my crochet pattern donor for [community profile] equalityauction! (Phew! What a mouthful...) The demo version is also complete!

Problem: The demo version does not look fat enough.

Source: I stitched the arms too low on its body.

Solution: If I move the arms up closer to its "neck", those will become its new shoulders, and it will look fatter by default.

Complication: Sewing is the part of making amigurumi that I hate most, and having to un-sew and then re-sew something is even worse.

Further complication: I sewed the arms in that position so they would better match the official costume.

Solution to further complication: Make edits to the rough draft.

Final dilemma: Do I take the arms off and re-sew them higher up and closer to the "neck", thus making Demo's body shape more closely resemble the original, or do I leave them there, so Demo's costume more closely resembles the original? Bonus: Option Two means I don't have to do any re-sewing.

Tentative decision: I'm probably going with Option Two.
