A Look Back at CFUD...

On July 24, 2005, CFUD's first genderswitch occured.
On July 25, 2005, it first became contagious.

...No, I didn't actually remember either of those dates myself. I had to look them up. ~~What I remembered is that, a year ago yesterday, Sasuke was female.~~

(Also, coincidentally, the first time I ever managed to be helpful :DD I totally had ulterior motives, man.)

Hakuba being in the US is easier to explain than Kaito, I agree.
Hakuba is often going from Japan to England and back, so a stop in the US along the way to solve a murder case totally makes sense. (To me at least.)

They could arrive separtely but for the same thing...but it will still be something to think of--how will Kaito get away with going for a visit in the US?

If you mean like an excuse to tell his friends and family, he could always say he's going to camp (which, considering where the potential heist target is, is sort of true). Or he could say he signed up for an exchange program a while back and was surprised to get in.

Yeah, but no one from CFUD is going to be at my con DD: They're all going to be at that other con, and I'm going to be moping because I'm sticking to my usual con ~~that is being held a month and a half earlier than usual asldkfashdlkj~~ and not going to see all of them!

So? Kaito may have a really high IQ, but he doesn't have the attention span to work with it most of the time. Hakuba has better study skills.

And somehow, the way you say that makes it seem like a double hit at me AND Kaito...*pauses* Well...so? At least...uh...*pauses* ...yeah, I got nothing. Still is so not though. Refuse to think that Hakuba is the one in charge. Nuh uh.

PS! Help me Jeva, I need to pick a year for Hakuba to arrive on DD: Is Detective Conan supposedly taking place in the present, or should I just tack a year on to the date he used in his first appearance or something?

...there has to be a year? ...I have NO idea...>.>;;; I really, really don't because DC's been running for 10 years and technically, there's no change in the characters in all that time...maybe Hakuba could be befuddled because Camp is supposedly in a time-pocket-dealy-thing?

He always introduces it with the year, the month, the day, and the exact time, down to a hundredth of a second. Or he did for his first two appearances. (To quote: "Year, 1990. Friday, Febuary 23rd, 20 hundred hours, 51 minutes, 16.05 seconds, sir.") I dunno, maybe it changes later?

I figure I can stick with August 29th for a date and still be relatively close to his actual appearance in camp, but the year befuddles me.

You could always keep him in 1990 mentally and have him have a brainbreak at the "2006" date thingy? :cD

I have a brain-break just thinking about how old this series is...

XD That might be interesting. And he wouldn't have anyone to tell him that people came from different time periods in the app itself...

Well, do we wanna go with the MK time or the DC time? Because if we go by MK, then yeah...definitely 1990...if we go by DC...eh...we can put it at 2000 and get by XD

I'm tempted to go with DC time, because I hadn't been alive for very long in 1990 :D;;; ...Though the closer to today's date, the better.

I suppose I could just ignore the date, and pretend the entire series was happening now.

Well it DOES keep with present-day standards...but we can change the date a bit just to make Hakuba have a heart attack. XD

I think a Hakuba or Kaito in camp would make me delurk into audiencing. (Have been too chicken to, really.)

So, humm, Kaito in the US? He'd probably go as Kaito and pretend for all the world to see that he was not in any just coming along for a gem/man in gray/whatever. (So yeah, I see him apping as Kaito, not Kid.)
Maybe a school trip? Something else?
Wait, what was that case where he went with aoko to go diving? (The submarine case?) Perhaps that could be used as a lead... Hm. Dunno.
Or maybe he's off to visit Aunty Chat Noir and dropped by on the way? >cD
Or a magician reunion? *shrugs*

Or we can go for the cliche of "I'm gonna go to summer camp in the States, Ma, because...it's so EDUCATIONAL~! ♥" XDD

But yes, yes...this is certainly giving me a bit more to work with...

Seconding Jeva on this. That would be good if the apps seem to be getting too reliant on each other. And just think of how relaxing a simple murder mystery would be after chasing the Kid for so long ^^
