Aaaahhh! That would have been awesome DD: Someday, when I am a famous anime professor, I will have to meet them. Or before then. That's also good.

Sure, no problem :3 I've already made a comment on how I managed her hair here, though the requester was planning to use a wig for her costume. I used a kimono to get a handle on the basic pattern (though remember that the panels go left-over-right, not right-over-left like I did ^^a) and just did regular - if baggy - sleeves and didn't sew the sides together up to about hip level.

Some of the costume elements depend on whether you're going as Season One Katara or Season Two Katara. For example, S1!Katara has close-fitting pants and a long-sleeved shirt under her kimono-thing. S2!Katara has baggy pants and wrist bands. The white trim on S1!Katara's collar remains a consistent length, while on S2!Katara's collar it widens/scoops around the throat. Whether or not you can see the top of her shoes also depends on which season - S1 yes, S2 no.

For the fuzzy trim bits, I used thick fuzzy felt, not fake fur, which I found both easy to work with and to have the right overall effect. The shoes were basic cloth shoes I bought and de-rubbered (harder than it sounds); I slit the soles of gray socks and sewed those over the top of these (why I removed the rubber - it's a bitch to hand-sew through rubber, did you know?). If you do go the sewing-socks-to-shoes route, I recommend backing the stitches up with hot glue, or, if at all possible, doing it with a machine; I learned the hard way that my pitiful stitches were not up to the task, especially at the heels.

I suggest buying the pants whichever season you go with, or if you plan to blend them, and the shirt as well if you go with S1; if you go with S2, I can give you tips for the wrist-wraps. And that's all I can think of at the moment, unless you want to borrow my prop idea ;)
