Teen Wolf is confusing me T-T In season one, we learn that Allison is a year older than Scott and Stiles but still in their grade because she moved around a fuckton. In season two, Scott is in danger of being held back and his mom is like, "Do you really want to be the one to repeat sophomore year?" Also in season two, Allison's mom disparages the other girls in the high school, suggesting that their only goal in life is to attend Prom with the boy of their choice, and suggesting that Allison is better than that. Allison says, "Well, what if I want to go to Prom?" and her mom is all, "As long is it's with the right boy (read: not Scott)." IDK, it sounded to me like Prom was a possibility to them that year, but perhaps I am misinterpreting it. On the other hand, if I'm misinterpreting it, surely there are plenty of non-USians who are in the same boat.
