I had a friend who liked to battle at the time, so I ended up EV-training a few Pokemon just for that. I also bred a shiny Absol (after swarm-catching as many as I could and picking the best pair to breed; this was a months-long project) and wanted to see how high I could push her Attack stat... I'm SO thrilled to be bringing her up into X or Y and seeing the mega-evolution.

Not to mention the event Torchic - Blaziken's been a favorite of mine for a long time, and its mega-evolution looks awesome, too! *flail*

I haven't seen the latest yet. Last I knew, you get a Kanto starter as well? I hope that's not post-game, I want to do a Nuzlocke run when I finish my B2 one, and I sort of want to roll in all the starters. XD
