Yesterday afternoon Chester followed me downstairs, and I couldn't figure out if it was for kisses or toy hunting. Turns out it was a bit of both! After some brief face licking, he tracked down a toy I'd "hidden" in the laundry room; instead of taking it and running immediately and triumphantly upstairs with it the way he usually does, though, he wanted to play tug-of-war with me! I played for a little bit, but ended up coaxing him up the stairs after just a few tugs and chases, since I was getting sleepy 😅
I'm not sure how exactly he's reacting to More Human Time at home; since Mom works for the local community college, he gets a few weeks of it now and then regardless, so I don't know if he's noticed a pattern at all. Still, he does love having humans at home to cuddle and pester for pets and treats 😉
