We had one of the hotel's office workers stop by a few days ago and complain about how dirty the bakery was.
Oh really? It's dirty? Between the sheer volume of work a department of three people has to do for the events you keep scheduling and the lack of actual cleaning staff, our bakery is somehow not sparkling clean? Gee, I wonder how that happened.
(The 11:20 day was getting breakfast ready for 250 people. This wouldn't have been so bad by itself, but someone decided that each person needed three breakfast items each (usual estimate is 1.5 per person, maybe 2 for big eaters). So that was 250 scones, 250 pieces of biscotti, 150 muffins, and 100 "energy bars" (kinda like vegan/GF granola bars?). All of which needed to be baked or otherwise prepared and arranged nicely on trays before eight in the morning. And there were still other banquets. I am... a little bit fed up with this.)
