I'm glad you found a solution! I've been trying really hard to engage more this year with creators, so I've been working my likes and kudos when I don't have the energy to reblog and add comments and all the things I'd LIKE to do more, and honestly I don't have the energy to follow someone who's going to be that prescriptive about how I'm allowed to engage with their public content. I think you picked the best option.
