I imagine it's at least partly because the block-space portion is more versatile. This one is definitely 'sided', in that it has a front and a back in addition to an up and a down.

XD Or I should use mine less. I'm sure it doesn't help that I use it a great deal at hooked_on_anime, though I suppose it speaks well of the amount of traffic I get.
