Well, this strain of creeping plant, at any rate. Vinka/Perrywinkle also tends to spread out in a similar way, IIRC, and I'm 99.9% sure without looking it up that it's not a strain of mint. (Also very pretty, though!)
I hear tell that the way to fight mint is with other species of mint 👀 Though at some point, won't you have a garden or lawn that's entirely overrun with mint subspecies? (Perhaps not the worst fate in the world...)
