A question for plant-lovers

Real quick question here.

I am looking to grow a plant that needs really minimal space/resources! Eggshell minimal, in fact, 'cuz it looks too cute not to at least try it.

Basically, I just want something I won't have to re-pot later. Unless eggshells would biodegrade quickly enough or crushing them wouldn't horribly kill the plant or something. I would also prefer a plant that is more vertical than horizontal/has a stem and leaves (no moss, lichens, etc).

Any suggestions?

If I recall correctly, the whole reason planting in eggshells took off is because it biodegrades fast enough that you don't have to take it out of the eggshell to replant it.

If you want something really easy, I'd suggest one of those really tiny cactuses. They grow slowly in my experience so it shouldn't outgrow the pot for a long time, and even I can't kill them! ....Usually.

You might try one of the Dwarf Thymes or Elfen Thyme; they're really, really tiny, and you can find 'em at nurseries that carry herbs (most do.) But even those'll eventually outgrow an eggshell; unless you can find an osterich egg.
