Manga ravings
Yeah, so, been meaning to do this for a little while. Like, since I got caught up on Bleach, for example. Anyway.
Ravings cut for spoilers, since they're sure as heck gonna be there.
FMA 68: Have I mentioned recently that Major-General Armstrong (Major Armstrong's older sister in the north) is really smoking hot? 'Cuz yeah, she is really smoking hot. She is way up there on my hotness-o-meter. She also tops like a topping thing of toppingness. *would think of a seme to compare her to, but is braindead from hotness* But that's more of a 67 thing, isn't it? Anyway, 68.
I see Arakawa-sensei is finally getting around to making Hoenheim a sympathetic character. I'm clutching to my initial dislike of him by the skin of my teeth, and that only barely. It helps that we're finally given an excuse as to why he left, and it's a fairly decent one at that, though I still don't know quite how I feel about him asking Trisha not to tell Ed and Al about... stuff.
Also, major props to sensei for not making Trisha totally spacy ¦D Yay, well-developed personality! Yay, strong female figure! Et cetera.
As to the end, I can't help but wish that, if Winry was gonna get targeted anyway, they would've sent RanFan to her shop firstso I could've gone for a crack automail!OT3. But that would've been OOC, so I guess it's okay in the end, le sigh. Still, maybe someday >:
Juushin Enbu: Arakawa-sensei's new series. Only two chapters are available in English, and I've really no idea about how many there are in Japanese. So far it's turned out sorta like... Well, the only thing I can think of is, "If Fushigi Yuugi were a shounen series/if Arakawa-sensei wrote Fushigi Yuugi". As in, less god summoning and more fighting and potential political upheaval.
As far as first impressions go, I have to give sensei props for continuing to portray strong/positive sibling relationships ¦Db A girl and a boy this time instead of two boys, but I see no reason to complain. Still A+ sibling/family relationships, yo.
That being said, from the first chapter I'm predicting the main fandom pairing to either be Main-chara-plus-what'shisface or Main-chara's-sister-plus-what'shisface. *can remember names, really!* I'm not sure which one I ship at the moment, or if I even ship anything at all for this series (yet). That said, chapter two just gave option one up there some more fodder, but I maintain that option two would be damn cute. So. I guess we'll just see what happens.
In other news, it appears that this series may eventually have some sailing :DDD *is so going to have to do a pirate series one day, rly* I've got my fingers crossed on it, but I'm not holding my breath yet. I'm also looking forward to seeing how the series will pan out overall ¦3 PS love the makeup artist.
Bleach: Okay, you had to know this was coming. KT has done it again, pulling off another plot twist that's at least as big as the Aizen thing. Or at least the first part of the Aizen thing. 'Cuz da-yum, I did not see that coming.
...I was actually hoping for Inoue Sora, if it were to come down to it. But hey, can't complain with what we've got now! And, since we've got what we've got, I'm hoping we'll be able to find out/see more of his lady ;) IT HAPPENED TO HIM, IT COULD HAPPEN TO HER TOO. And, uh. I'm a dork like that, okay? Still hoping for Sora, tho >: 'Cuz he'd be awesome.
Avatar: ...Okay, not so much thoughts on recent canon happenings as just a stray thought I had the other day. Katara and Aang's traveling bending school: y/n/m/what are you on, woman?! I just think it would be cute, is all.
