Oh yeah, I was going to post about stuff. Let's see here...

Well, first off, some linking back. I'm still taking requests for cards here, and I've tracked down Mattel's address so you can send them very polite letters about how they could be making more money here, with information on what the letters could say here.

In regards to the first, my parents want our family Christmas card done as soon as possible. And I still have to make my own and finish my final essay for Comp II (which they will not find out about, on account of previous drafts having been kinda due already and I'm still on draft numero uno). Which kinda barrels into the second, being that I'm writing yet another paper on the subject of "lack of ♀ action figures".

Moving along, fic_off is indeed running again this year. For those who've never heard of it before, it's a comm designed to help motivate people into finishing fics - original or otherwise, for any reason or for NaNo, etc. A fantastic idea, IMHO.

On that note, Communications is nibbling again - or rather, I walked over to it and tried to find out if it was interested in being written. It hasn't disagreed yet? Still making some "plot" decisions; the chapters are running into each other more now, since it's getting closer to the end :/

Do not have the energy to RP at CFUD at the moment, argh argh argh =_= Must go on vacation, regain strength. (This does not, for some reason, keep me from considering doing another kink!fic meme sometime soon. If only so I can abuse Jeva about it.)

Oh, that reminds me. Candy? Minor sorta bad news. I've got a concert on the evening of Saturday 15th, the day I was planning to visit you, so I'm probably going to have to head home extra early. I'll try and come earlier in the day to make up for it though, if it helps, and you're more than welcome to come see/hear the concert if you're interested!

Aww...that's okay. The "coming earlier" idea would work just fine, since I'm usually up at a fairly decent hour anyway. I'm going to look through my recipes and make up a shopping list for the stuffs, and so when you get here it will be fun! \o/

What kind of concert is it? :D

I'm thinking I might try and use fic_off as an excuse to finish a fic I've had as a WIP for, like, almost five years. Just get it done and not think about it anymore. That's my goal, at least ^^;;

I picked the recipes that look/sound tasty :) Trying to decide how many things to make. Maybe I need to find the tins/trays I want to use for them first so I know how much stuff will fit on them...

I need to get caught up on Communications. I started reading it, and kept getting distracted. Bad Candy. No biscuit *slaps self on wrist* Right now I'm just trying to get stuff prepped for my Christmas Eve fic-dump. I'll worry about fic_off after that ^^;;

A variety of things, with a focus on Christmas/winter. Seasons of Love from Rent; Time, Concord and Time and Concord from Queen Elizabeth's coronation (I think?); Christmas in Three-Quarters Time; Our Christmas Cheer (a song set up like a school fight song ^^a); Christmas Goes Classical (which is a bunch of Christmas songs set to classical music and is awesome and hilarious); and some other stuff that I'm forgetting. Basically, some serious, some not.

I can't say I'm much better; I've hardly touched DC/MK fic in the last year and then some, s-sigh. I keep getting tempted by all these Christmas-y ideas. I am going to go through with that DC/MK-Christmas Carol fusion thing, if only because it's been sitting around for more than a year, but I'm still undecided on any "actual twelve days of Christmas" fics.
