Brain Food
So my family has this old brain-shaped gelatin mold. We're also hosting a party a week from Friday. Dad wants to know if I have any ideas about something I could make with it.
"Dunno," said I, "let me consult the Internets."
So, Internets! This is where you come in!
I need a relatively party-ish food that can be made in a gelatin mold and will hold that shape once removed from said mold. Chocolate could work, but I'd want to go hollow, and while I'm sure I could figure that out without too much trouble, that also means we'd have to break it to eat it. Brains just seem more like a "scooping" food to me, though.
Anyhow, that's the deal. Any thoughts and suggestions are appreciated <3

Your favorite flavor of gelatin dessert, perhaps with dairy products or marshmallows added in for extra grey-matter goodness?
A sufficiently firm pourable custard, such as one of those cheesecake mixes? (IDK how much volume one of those produces, though, or if the box ones would actually hold their shape. Experimentation may be in order.)
A very large cheese ball?

I do like the idea of something scoopable/spreadable, especially if we can use some nilla wafers or something? I certainly wouldn't mind *ahem* cleaning up after related experimentation ;)
Crackers and a cheese ball could definitely work, if worse comes to worst - though I'd probably want to mold it over a bowl or something so it's not an incredibly giant cheese ball. Time to start looking up recipes :O
