Content Note: Animal death

So my pet rat Maurice passed away this evening. I was lucky enough to be holding him and telling him I loved him when he breathed his last, but that really doesn't help much. I'm probably going to be looking for a new pair of boys soon, since I can't be all the company Dangerous Beans needs, but in the mean time...

Well. I'll see you and the other guys over the rainbow bridge, okay Maurice? Say hello to my other precious boys when you get there. I hope you can be loving company for each other.

I would now like to read all of the pet fics. All of them. I don't care for the AUs where characters who weren't animals are now animals forever and ever, amen, but temporary animal transformation is fine. Also good are happily-ever-after RL animal stories.

I just. I could use some extra snuggles, is all.

Well, I have a pet fic rec or two from Harry Potter fandom (HP/SS), but all the petfic I can think of from Homestuck is, uh, exactly as problematic as you'd expect. *side-eyes*

I'm so sorry to hear about the loss of your rattie, though! He was awfully adorable, and I always appreciated his name!
