Hey, Listen!

Insomnia is awful, but at least I got an incredible craft idea while I was tossing and turning last night (read: early this morning).

Things I will need:
* Fluffy white yarn (NOT eyelash yarn of "fun" fur, because those are terrible and not even remotely fun for me)
* White feathers
* Stuffing (I've already got this)
* One of those feather-on-a-string-on-a-stick cat toys (I don't have this, but was planning to get one anyway to play with a friend's cats; I want to wear them out so they stop attacking my yarn while I'm crocheting at her condo)
* White duct tape/medical tape/some sort of really strong tape (actually, medical tape is probably ideal here)

Partly inspired by the DIY Enterprise with Romulan Bird of Prey cat tree and DIY "Catpanion" Cube. (Projects found via The Mary Sue.)

I fully expect at least one person to be able to guess what I'm making now, with just the information provided.

Hmm, I'd suggest putting a blue LED in it to make it GLOWY!!11! too, but that might be hazardous if used as a cat toy for actual cats. XD

Doesn't Death Mountain look a little strange? Maybe you should go to Death Mountain!

Well, I know there are some cat toys that involve lights (mostly blinking ones). I can always look around when I pick up the feather toy, see what else is available. Maybe if they have a ball that lights up I can just attach the feathers to it, or use it as part of the stuffing...

That would do! A little light-up ball strategically placed in the stuffing would make it flicker nicely. :D
