Whoops I accidentally a completely horrifying fic idea/headcanon
Content Warning: Domestic Abuse
So we know almost nothing about Emilie Agreste, except that she's Mostly Dead and Gabriel and Adrien love(d) her.
We also know that the Peacock Miraculous is broken, and I'm reasonably sure the show implied the two things (Emilie being down for the count and the broken Miraculous) are directly related.
We also know that Gabriel is an emotionally abusive asshole.
What if... the Peacock Miraculous hasn't been broken for very long. What if it got broken, by someone very specific, when Emilie was trying to leave.
What if that completely horrifying yet frighteningly plausible scenario.

Welp, I think I just out-angsted myself there. Time to sit in a corner and think about what I've done.

Sigh. I miss the days when I still thought Gabriel was capable of redemption. I'll probably stick with it if I ever write the continuation of All the Names I Know You By I have planned, but otherwise...
