So apparently the trick to getting myself to do rewrites on The Orpheus Thing was to switch from typing on my laptop to hand writing in pen on squares of scrap paper.

Why are brains even.

Yup; I'm not going to turn my nose up at a working solution. Roll my eyes at my brain for requiring it, on the other hand...

it's weird how that works so well sometimes? and sometimes when i'm hand writing something switching to typing will make things feel neater and less overwhelming.

Right? And then once I got everything typed, I had to switch to editing it on AO3 instead of Dreamwidth, too. Brains, I tell ya 9_9
