So on the one hand, I really miss having freckles on my face.

On the other hand, I definitely don't miss cluster headaches, and the sun getting in my eyes turned out to be a major contributor to those, so hat-with-an-extra-wide-brim it is. And it's probably better for preventing skin cancer as well, especially since it runs in my family.

But still. I miss my freckles!

Awww, that's no fun. I am a sunlight-induced-headache person, too, so I sympathise.

There ought to be artificial freckles available in the cosmetics aisle. Something between the silk beauty patches of old, and the modern spray-on tan. :D

Sunlight headaches stink :(

Maybe something like. A sheet of cloth or a mask or something with appropriate holes to go over your face, then you can brush on blush of some sort? You could do some sort of rainbow freckles that way as well, which would be mega cool, IMO.

A stencil is a great idea! Brush a powder across it, then maybe a setting spray.

I was sort of thinking, well, you know how sometimes if you leave a can of spray paint sitting around too long it gets to that stage where it throws out bigger blobs instead of a fine mist? Make me a nozzle that does that deliberately, and then put some darker-than-usual spray tan in the can. :D There could be 3 or 4 colors, to mimic different freckle shades.

Your way is much better, though. Because rainbow! Or metallic purple, or glow in the dark, or anything! *heart eyes*

A stencil, yes! That's the vocabulary I'm looking for!

And since it's a stencil, you can also make it any shapes you want, not just dots. I can finally have a brushing of stars over my cheeks and nose, or tiny hearts, or even both!

This is very true, and you know what it means? It means my face could be covered in tiny cats! ♥

I suppose first we have to find someone who knows a lot more about makeup than "it comes in powder and in goop formats," which is about the limit of my expertise... :D

Yesss! And how about actual realistic whiskers surrounded by little dots? Or any sort of elaborate face painting thing that would otherwise have to be applied by hand?

I think the solution is clear: We need to find someone in the cosplay circuit to collude with.
