Younger Brother has asked to borrow my crocheted brain slug for a costume contest early next month. I have readily agreed, and said I will make sure it is at his house within the week.

What I have not yet disclosed is my plan to make sure there are two matching brain slugs available, sized perfectly for the niblings, so I can get an absolutely adorable family photo ♥ Dunno if I'll be able to get one made for SIL on time, but getting at least three together should be a piece of cake!

All credit goes to that friend for the idea; the execution was apparently very well received! And to be fair to the largest one at least, it's probably close to a decade old and even once crossed the Atlantic with my dad. It also hails from a time when I was thought myself "too good" to use felt for the eyes; I learned my lesson when my mom started commissioning me for the smaller ones left and right 😂 Suddenly, fast-and-easy eyes became a lot more important!
