Note to self: Breathe in, breathe out
What with various job things that mean I'm essentially not working this summer (I'd rather not get into it now), as wall as my mom talking to a local artist about how she got started, I've decided that I'm going to open up crochet commissions at
hooked_on_anime tomorrow. Er, later today. This afternoon. ...14:00 July 2nd, US Central time.
I just finished sending out requests to [most of] the more approachable-seeming people* whose characters I've made before; with one exception, commissions of any of their characters will not be taken without their say-so. (MSPA stuff will be either with AH's say-so, or until Monday morning, whichever comes first. If it's the latter, I plan to put aside 10-20% of any hypothetical profits to drop in his tip jar every month or whatever.)
I'm anxious, and I still haven't done the amigurumi pic-spamming I've been planning, but I guess it's still almost time for Operation: Live the Dream.
That, or Operation: Put Your Money Where Your Mouth Is.** We'll see which it turns out to be.
Here's hoping for both.
Edit: I've started getting responses from people. Oh god, this is more nerve-wracking than I thought it was going to be. Why didn't I think to be more wary of those qualified yeses? Time for a Lorazepam, I'm thinking... [/edit]
*Fuck, forgot about Fat Pony. Someone remind me to at least jot an e-mail off to Kate Beaton before I open the commission post thing? Or this post will remind me. Whichever. Either way, I'm out of energy for tonight. I'm sorry, Kate Beaton! T-T I promise I'll absolutely get to you before the post goes up! Taken care of. Okay, back to breathing now.
** In my family, we have a saying: Do what you love and the money will follow. I will potentially be putting that into practice at two in the afternoon.
