Chain Mail Griffin
A few weeks back, not long after I made that epic trade of griffin for reconstructed violin, I sold a second griffin to Steven Todd of Wandering Mail (Facebook link). He proceeded to take that griffin and put a chain mail vest-thingy on it. Shortly after, he sold it to, IIRC, Silver Gryphon Games, who had been looking for a handcrafted mascot for some time but had never thought of crochet as a potential medium. And now, at long last, I have pictures of the mail-decked griffin!

These were all taken with Steve's phone, since I wasn't around to see the finished product myself. He does good work, no?
(Psst,
redsixwing! Any interest in getting chain mail for your griffin? Because that is totally a thing I could arrange :3b)

(Also that would be super awesome! Teeny chainmail-griff for the ultimate win!)
Edit: Also I am working on your cuffs; I shaped one last night and got it to even be a shape I pretty much like, so prototype #2 is well underway. If this works like I want it to, it will graduate from being a prototype to being an actual cuff and I will make it a matching mate.
One of the other people at the club found it entirely amusing that I kept tweaking the wire, putting it on, and having asymmetrical ears. XD

Okay, I'll bring the gray griff over to the next craft party :3b Oh, right, any color preferences? Steve's got a whole rainbow at his disposal.
Woo-hoo! I look forward to the results :D
