Fic tidbit
Finally came up with a series name for the little tidbits I sometimes write when folks throw prompts around: Prompt and Circumstance. So far only My Hope Lives in You is up, but I want to get that Oblivio Duo Meets Post-Oblivio Duo tidbit for
flightfoot/
keyseeker up as well, followed by this little bit of a thing prompted by
sweetmeatdale/
callmedale (though I gotta dig around and see if he posted the prompt for that one, or get the actual text from the Discord).
Speaking of that Oblivio + Post-Oblivio Tidbit...
Adrien stared at his older counterpart, then snorted derisively and crossed his arms. “Yeah, no, you love Marinette.”
The other Adrien stiffened. “Excuse me? I’m pretty sure I can tell if I love Ladybug or not!”
Adrien felt a lazy smirk slide onto his face; he was sure it would only feel more appropriate if he were to transform. “No, you’re definitely in love with Marinette and no one else. I don’t know how you don’t see it yet, but I’ve known her for less than a day and I already know I love her more than I could ever imagine loving anyone else, and I know you feel the same way. Hey, other Plagg,” he said, cutting in before the other Adrien could formulate whatever angry reply he was working up to. “Are we sure he’s fully cured from Oblivio? This isn’t the result of any lingering after-effects or anything?”
The other Plagg darted out from the inside pocket of the other Adrien’s overshirt and cackled. “No, this is just how he is. I’d say it’s how both of you are, but you clearly managed to get a few up on my guy.”
His own Plagg took the opportunity to join the conversation. “Take it easy on him, kid,” he told Adrien. “You’ve got an advantage or two on him that it looks like he doesn’t remember. If it weren’t for that, you might be in the same boat.”
Adrien looked at his own Plagg and then back at the other Adrien. “Yeah, I guess you’re right,” he said. “I’d hate to be in love with Marinette and not know it.” He pulled the pocket of his shirt back open. “Come on, Plagg; let’s go spend some time with our Marinette. Clearly this is something I should be savoring as long as possible, if I’m this bad when I have all my memories.” Both Plaggs cackled, and his own ducked back into his usual hiding place as Adrien walked out of the room.
Just before the door closed, he heard the other Adrien say, “What the actual fuck?”
Adrien grinned privately. The other him had all the information he needed; now he just had to put it together.

And now, that might be all the productive I have in me today. Still good to get this much done, though!
