Posts I've been procrastinating
And with no good reason to procrastinate, really.
This past week, I've been pretty darn productive!
Tuesday was Baby's First Mammogram; it's about four years earlier than people with boobs usually go in, but my mom had breast cancer when she was close to my age, so it doesn't hurt to check early. My main takeaway was that getting my boobs into the imaging machine made me feel kinda like I was kabedon-ing it 😂
Wednesday was a work meeting that ended up being less than half an hour long, but oh well; it was also Tax Day! I usually go to H&R Block, because it's what I've been doing as long as I've gotten a paycheck, and I might have more reason to go in the future: This time around, I talked to the tax advisor I usually go to about the possibility of starting a small business, and what sort of things I'd need to know to do that. She told me she'd be happy to help me figure out what I need to know, but probably not for at least a few weeks; I promised I'd get back to her in May if I hadn't heard before then, since I figure things ought to have quieted down by then, US tax day being in mid-April 😉 So I'm excited for that! I've been wanting to have my own booths at various shows and events for a while now, and while I plan to be picky about which ones I go to for the foreseeable future, this is still a proper step in the right direction.
Thursday is usually nibling day, but both niblings caught a bit of a bug and had to leave daycare early on account of fever, and their mom took care of them instead.
Friday morning, the niblings were still out sick, so my parents stepped in to help look after them in the morning. I was asked as well, but I not only had work that day, I was also getting up extra early to get my oil changed before I went in 😠Luckily, my oil change went nice and quick, and I had enough time to drop in on my parents and the niblings to hang out for almost an hour! After which it was time to go to work—which all of us left early on account of Weather happening pretty much all over not just the state where I live, but several surrounding states as well. Yay, tornado alley!
Yesterday and today were pretty chill; I got some naps in, did some dog walking, that sort of stuff. Tomorrow is back to work, and then sometime next week I'm hoping to do some laundry and maybe even get a haircut.

I'm not planning on much, but I'd love to do at least a few shows a year, especially outdoor shows. I'd simply adore being able to have a table at one of the local Pride events! Once the pandemic is something closer to actually over, there's a few conventions I might also want to have a table at. My SIL has been encouraging me to take my stuff to Wiscon, which is probably about the only convention I'd actually consider just now. I'm pretty sure I won't make this year's deadline, though, if it hasn't already passed anyway.
