I think I may have walked five miles today in while playing Pokémon Go, and my legs are not going to be happy about it tomorrow.

I am trying desperately not to care about the shameless money-grab that is special backgrounds, but alas, it's not working very well.

Anyway, Happy Pokémon Day/Weekend/What-have-you, the trailer for Pokémon Winds and Waves also got to me more than I wanted it to, Nintendo clearly has my number on speed-dial.

I may have logged as many as seven today, but I also completed my personal goal of finally reaching 50km in a single week! 😭👍 Pokémon Go has had special rewards for anyone who walks a certain distance in a week, and while I typically manage to get the 25km prize (and have basically never missed the 5km prize), this is the first time since the prizes were introduced that I've managed 50km. That said, I don't expect to reach this distance often 😂

You can find the total available backgrounds over here; you'll have to scroll down a ways to get to the non-location special backgrounds, but there are some really pretty ones down there! I'm about this close to making some Dreamsheep icons with them 👀
