Image dump
This image dump is mostly to cheer me up, as I am slightly frustrated with life right now (grrrr, stupid transfers, why won't you stick right? DD:), but also has a fair helping of "Oh, hey, I should really scan and post this, shouldn't I?"
Anyway, much like the reason Phantom of the Opera isn't actually an opera but a musical because it has (gasp!) two whole spoken lines in, this post is not an art post because it has one photograph in ¦Db So we'll get those out of the way first ♥

This is me from shortly before my high school graduation ceremony two years ago ♥ It also happens to be one of my favorite pictures of me, simply because I think I look good in it. Doubtless I'll think otherwise in a few years, but at the moment, I like it, so it stays.
Also, yes, I did get away with wearing the wings when I accepted my diploma ¦Db

A very Arthurian-legends-esque picture of my darling Arthur ♥

The text originally read "Ford ♥ Celery", but I cut the rest out because it didn't fit well. *is all about page efficiency?*
Quick reminder, this is Claire, and That Claire Thing is the story (for which I don't yet have a title) about her and her best friend and how her best friend is totally obsessed with unrequited love. Moving right along!

This is Claire's best friend, Samantha. She's loads of fun ♥ Her hobbies include never reading the end of romance novels, walking out of romantic movies before the climax, and turning down dates because she prefers other people to be unattatched and pining after someone. Basic plans for her outfit are here, and a scan of the whole page that she's drawn on is here, if for no other reason than "people might be interested in looking at all those stupid foot-and-hand sketches/seeing what my doodling habits are".
Also, have a complimentary page of their short comic together :D

Page seven, quite possibly my favorite of the comic so far. ...Not that there's very many pages to choose from, what with the limit being twenty and me hoping to re-draw page sixteen so it'll end nice and cleanly there, but you get the idea. Anyway, if you can't read my handwriting, or just don't get what's going on up there, Samantha is attempting to burn a love letter that someone has left on her desk, and Claire is stopping her. And that's definitely one of my favorite drawings of Claire in the lower right hand corner.
I've decided to call the series Boy Band, I think :3 Because I am a dork like that. And also because none of them actually are boys, which makes me lame in addition to dorky, becuase I kinda thought that made the title funny. I've also got eighteen new images uploaded to Photobucket, which means I'mma talk myself down by at least five for this post ^^a Anyway, let the dumpage begin!

New character, yay! Or at least semi-new. This is just the first actual drawing of her. Anyway, this is Lyzz, the manager of Nat's band. As you can see by the text I didn't edit out of the picture, she's related to Chase (and I'm thinking definitely older sister at this point, though cousin and aunt are also possibilities), and about eight years older than her. She's really just getting started in the managerial business, all things told - which is why she made the mistake of telling the company that Nat's band was a boy band. Oops. ...She really didn't expect it to work, actually, but she was a little desparate at the time. She came clean in the end, though!
Anyway, there's at least one other (mini?) branch of Chase's family that we'll learn about later on in the story. Somebody is going to live in Colorado, and I'm not sure it's going to be Lyzz. ...Also, I still have to decide if I want this to be a baby brother or a baby cousin. Current plan is brother, in keeping with the "My siblings and I have huge age gaps :DD" thing for Chase. Also, I am sooo naming someone after everyone I can get away with in this story. And future stories.
And now, some pictures of the girls! Yaaaay~

Chase ♥ This is the picture where I finally got a handle on how her hair should look/how I could draw in consistantly. Earlier attempts didn't quite fit with my vision of her (a.k.a., they looked terrible). One of my early draw-Chase-looking-girly attempts is here, while my most recent (as well as some other sketches that I rather like) is here.

Jeanne-Claudia - or JC, if you prefer. Which she usually does ;) I really like this picture of her, though it is the second one where I drew her "looking like a girl". Somehow, she ends up looking really tomboyish no matter what I do. I can't decide if that makes it a good thing or a bad thing that she's the shortest of the band members. Anyway, I really like the feet in this picture. I felt I drew them well. I've got mixed feelings about the outfit (can't do fashion lol), and the hands were slapped on at the last minute because I wanted to scan this but didn't want her to go without hands (sorry Chase? :D;;;), but the feet are pretty solid, I think. STFU, I don't usually draw feet well D: *needs more practice*
First picture I drew of JC in girls' clothing is here. I have no idea exactly how much I fail at goth-type clothing, but I'm pretty sure it's a fair amount - especially considering I fail at clothing in general. Nevertheless, that's how she was drawn. Also, here's a picture of her from another angle, because I didn't seem to have drawn that before. ItlookssoawfulDD:
Bonus! This is the picture where I finally got the hang of JC's hair. You wouldn't believe how often I had to use the little extra scribble there as a reference. As a result of me getting the hang of her hair, JC is totally fun to draw for me ♥ ...I'm pretty sure I'm going to make her mom Korean.

That first picture up there is basically an excuse for cuteness. Though they're all pretty much excuses to make Nat look girly. Oh Nat ♥ Other pics are "girl" performance pic and "girl" prom pic. Or at least formal wear pic. How can I write a prom story, I've never been to prom, and I never wanted to go in the first place. Bah. I'll just make it some random stupid sciencey dance or something. Your two bonus pictures of Nat are here and here (ponytail, yay!). You also finally get the full page version of the Goth!JC pic here, which demonstrates much better just how I treat paper.
And last pic is of Simon. 'Cuz I needed one of her here.

Jeez, the way I go on, you can hardly tell she's the main character =_= I need to work on developing her better. Not that I can object to really well developed secondary characters, but not at the expense of the main characters, dammit! I should also draw her more.
Much better ^__^ And now, as that took somewhere in the area of an hour and a half to type up, I'd better post this before it drags on longer.
