Vincent!Pony pic dump
I finished him! And am quite proud of him, too :3b He was delivered to his delighted new owner on Sunday, at which point I collected my money, as well as the "Who do I make next?" answer. (Said answer is PegaCid. Yes, we decided that wings were definitely going to be a Thing. And yes, the fact that they are frequently shipped together also influenced the decision. I'll have to see if I can't get a picture of them together when Cid's done. Ooo, maybe I can crochet an extra feather as well, hit up one of the FiM fic pega-shipping tropes ♥ :D ...Okay, I'm done with the terrible pegasus puns now, really.)
Picture time!

Vincent!Pony, decked out in all of his glorious accessories :Dbb Everything is removable even, which leads us to...

Naked!Vincent!Pony :DDD Technically his hair dealie is removable as well, it's just a pain to get his hair to look right after removing it/putting it back on.
On his butt is the symbol of chaos, with credit to
redsixwing for the suggestion ♥ It's not exactly like the picture - the arrows are a lot thicker - but I think it worked out really well. Plus, it looks really cool :)b

Vincent!Pony's accessories! I am so ridiculously proud of his cape and his claw-thing, y'all have no idea. I mean, technically, the ragged ends on his cape are a smidge more regular than they ought to be, but it's not like anyone'll complain. The fancy rear horseshoes I'm slightly less pleased with, if only because the separate rings didn't show quite as well as I wanted them to, but they still look pretty damn good. The claw was both more fun and less difficult than I had anticipated, which I really appreciated :3b
Next on the crochet agenda, in no particular order:
* Mechazawa Beta
* A new Perry the Platypus, with a side-order of re-vamping the hell out of my first pattern. Seriously, that thing is a mess. I'm surprised so many people were even able to use it!
* PegaCid, as mentioned
* Way too many mini-Squiddles
* Full size Lemonsnout?
* Medium size scalemate?
* CHARITY STUFF - oh gosh that total has gotten so high @_@ That's a personal fundraising record, right there. Jebus.
* Venus de Milo, Scream, Thinker, second Woman With Plant(s) to possibly sell at high-end art gallery (still somewhat blown away by that being a possibility) - definitely writing all the patterns down
And looking into Etsy store details can probably fit between projects somehow.
Anywho, back to the hook! ...Or procrastinating, whichever.
Picture time!

Oh my gosh, that is so awesome. X3 Removable pointy ponyboots homg. *geeks out*
I don't suppose you'd consider making another of these? I can't commission right now, but I have a friend who would adore one. (Or a Pony!Sephiroth, which might just end the world with cuteness.)
... pega-shipping. Gack. XD

I would totally make another one! Wow, good thing I saved the accessories' patterns X3 And his eyeshape pattern. (Oh boy, the potential wing-related shenanigans I could get up to with Pony!Sephiroth XD He's gotta be an alicorn, but how many wings do I give him: the usual two, or just one? If I give him two, should they both be in the same position, or one up and one down? Or should I go completely overboard and give him six wings? The possibilities...!)
I still think PegaCid is worse, but yeah, that was pretty terrible ;) ...Ooo, if I make Cid's jacket, I may have to leave wing holes! 'Scuze me, I gotta go swoon; the potential challenge is giving me a case of the vapors~

Also, I went ahead and stuck wires in his arms and legs. This doesn't really make him more stable or anything, but it does make him somewhat more pose-able. It's no trouble to remove them if you'd prefer floppy limbs, though.

I don't really care about the wires either way, so I'd say just leave them! Thanks for the consideration~ <3
Oh, could I get some pics before you send it out, in case there's some teensy detail to change~~?

Preview pictures are SOP around here, no worries! Front, Side, Back, Bottom.
If you look close on the "Side" picture, you should be able to make out the seam in the metal there. Nothing is glued down at the moment, which means I can still change it; this includes his suspenders, which will look more uniform once I'm able to glue them in place.
If everything looks good to you, I'll see about getting it glued tonight, and provided you PM me with your mailing address, I could potentially have him in the mail tomorrow. Otherwise, it's probably going to wait until I'm back from vacation in Colorado ^^a

It would be REALLY cool if the bottoms of his suspenders ended in "clips" that joined to his pants- even just one loop/pixel/whatever - say, in the color of his hands? - would be great.
The seam is SUPER awesome; would it also be possible to add a few little details in the same color to represent his rivets? (http://media.animevice.com/uploads/0/3695/243261-17134_large.jpg) I know that's REALLY getting super-micro-detailed, but.
The last is also something I'm not sure could be done. Basically, it would be insanely cool if his eyes had a bit of "bulge" to them. Could his EYES be crocheted and then attached, somehow? Or... something else? IDEK.
....that's sounding a lot like "wait til you're back from Colorado," isn't it. Huh. Um... I guess it's ordered from most to least important, but all of those would make my already-wide smile even bigger~~!

1) Can do :)b
2) Actually, the rivets are already there ^^a Though you might not be able to pick them out very well at this level of contrast/resolution? I just didn't mention them because I forgot what they were called 6_6;;;
3) Hrm. I'm pretty sure it's too small to crochet practically with yarn, and there is no way I am going to crochet with embroidery floss for this =_= (I originally wanted to find gold buttons or beads in the right size and just sew or glue those on, but no such luck :/ ) So I guess these are your possible options: [a] I embroider eyes on with yarn; I got a fair amount of bulge with Fat Pony using that method; [b] I straight-up sew the felt eyes on and stuff a little bit under that (slightly risky; it might be too much pressure for the felt); [c] I attempt to paint highlights on the felt eyes to give the illusion of bulgeyness. Any thoughts?
All of that is pretty much easy work; I'm sure I could have it finished before the post office (or equivalent) is closed for the night, but you probably wouldn't be able to do a last-minute detail check before I have to leave. Well, unless we coordinate our schedules really well.
Option three here (option two being waiting until I'm back from Colorado) is if I go ahead and buy postage for Beta tomorrow without mailing him, and then stick him in an outgoing mailbox somewhere if I get an OK from you while on vacation.

1) <3
2) XD
3) ...maybe just stick with the felt, unless you think embroidering the eyes would look AMAZINGLY better. ^^;;;; sorry to be unreasonable.
.....seriously, don't rush it. Enjoy your trip~~

It's not unreasonable to ask! Unreasonable would be you demanding your money back when you find out I can't :P
