*drip, drip, drip*

Will be going to attempt to give blood (again) this afternoon ^_^ This time, through church ^^; Wish me luck. As you all probably know what I'm fond of saying about blood drives, I don't think I'll repeat it this time--though I should probably get it on an icon sometime. Will be catching a bus around 4:00, so I don't have to walk.

Will be going to watch Naruto at tiralmo's house tomorrow ^__^ Um, could I possibly catch a ride from someone? It wouldn't actually be that far to walk if I didn't have to go twice as far out of my way due to bridge construction -_-; And I will have (hopefully) just given blood, so a ride would be appreciated. If not, I'm sure I can walk, but still...
(Note to self: get to work on Roy's gloves already! -_-)

In other news, my wrist hurts. Ow. I'm praying it's just sprained or, uh, twisted or...something. Look, I don't exactly know of a lot of ways that one could potentially screw up one's hands, okay? Bear with me here. Thankfully, it is my left wrist, and I am not left-handed (nor do I have to play the viola again any time soon). Unthankfully, it's still painful ;_; (Okay, done bitching now.)

GIP: Blood Donation

I felt I needed to immortalize my mother's words in icon form. It's not much, especially since I can't animate yet (though I think I may learn soon, at the rate this is going...) but it works for now.

Am back from donating ^_^ It went rather well. It was different than the last organization I donated with--they were a lot more... I dunno. They were concerned about different things. There were a few places they weren't as organized, but they were all nice.

When I said I was feeling 'a bit faint' from blood loss, they had me lay down, bend my knees up (no foot lifting device, sadly) and pampered me to no end ^_^;;; My 'recovery' took almost half an hour, I think. The other people, though, were a lot more trusting of the boundless energy of teenagers. (I refuse to say that they were more trusting of our judgement.) They brought me Pepsi in a cup with a bendy-straw ^^; Which was good, because I was feeling a bit queesy; thank God I didn't tell them that, or I would've been there another twenty minutes! (Please note that I am unaware of any serious medical condition that may be characterized by these symptoms, so any bad judgement on my part is out of ignorance.) The queesyness passed with the faint feeling, in a very short time, though they didn't seem to believe me when I said I was feeling better -_-a They were a bit clogged, too, so I would have thought they would've wanted me to move as soon as I could. I think they underestimated my recovery time. The ice pack was very much appreciated, though.

Still, I think I liked the other group better. I couldn't say why for certain, though I think it could have something to do with the fact that they felt more like a professional medical team than this group. (<--- is not one who is uncomfortable around doctors. Or dentists, for that matter. In fact, when she was three (according to her mother), she wanted to be a dentist when she grew up. How strange is that?)

Anyway, am back now. My arm (still) kinda stings from where they stuck me (another point against them, I'm afraid) but they used less bandage than the other group, so at least I'm not down two arms, as opposed to just the one.

Socchan: *only half-listening but still wary* ...Yeah...
Brain: And you know how they say "Hell hath no fury like a woman scorned"? And "You only (always?) hurt the one(s) you love"?
Socchan: ...Just where are you going with this?
Brain: And remember how Naruto starts with that one kitsune trying to destroy a village for supposedly no reason?
Socchan: ...No. Absolutely not. Do not even think about going there, because it's not going to happen.
Brain: Oh come ooooonnnn.... Think of how much fun it would be!
Socchan: I admit it's worth a few laughs, but we are not going any farther than that! Not at all! So you can just turn that train of thought right back around.
Brain: *pouts*

(Mistress of Foxes? I know what you're thinking, but no thanks. Someone else can write this one, thank-you-very-much. Unless I am somehow bribed and begged into it or something, which, having mentioned it, just became that much more likely. Damn me and my stupid habit of typing things like that in case they happen!)

On a different note, Doumeki's (xxxHolic) first name is 'Shizuka', which I have wondered about for a while. And now you know! :D
