soc_puppetCalled Ambergold today, told her when/where the AI Postmortem meeting was. Sounded like she was glad to find out, so hooray for me for actually finding her number as well as the courage to pick up the phone. Hate phones. Hate them. Almost more than homework. But I did it, and I'm sure I didn't sound like a complete moron, so hurray!
Speaking of hurrays! I just picked up my copy of Larklight (in paperback, thank you dear book god) from the book store, and it is now sitting in a plastic bag next to the keyboard I'm using. Happy, happy socchan! (Why have Art, Myrtle and Jack not been apped yet, CFUD people. Their apps would be a cinch to write stylistically, the voices are so strong! And you know you want a twelve-year-old Victorian-era space pirate running around and screwing with peoples' minds.) Anyway, I look forward to re-reading it, and then hopefully tracking down the next volume at the library without too much trouble (knock on wood).
I also updated my List of Best Things Ever yesterday to include three new things - one of them solely because of what number it is. nalakaori_chan got a picture of, and I'd like to assume she was given for her recent birthday (congrats, by the way ♥) by some very ...caring friends, but assumptions are usually bad to make ^^a
Other eventful things today included me cleaning out the refrigerator. I can only hope that I will be monetarily compensated for the shelves I had to wash by hand when the original expectation was that they'd be able to fit in the dish washer. I also got my Anime Detour registration in the mail. I'll have to keep an eye open for when Acen registration goes up.
Edit: ...Shit, I just remembered that the take-home exam for Modern Japan is due tomorrow. Guess who hasn't even answered one question? Hell, guess who hasn't even looked at one question? God, I hate stuff I'm given class time to work on.
Edit 2: Someone stop my brain. It has just presented me with the concept of CFUD On Ice and I do not need the distraction.
