Title: Just Desserts
With an air of uncertainty, Koizumi Akako counted the cupcakes. There were seventeen in all, one less than there should have been. This bothered her, as she was testing several ingredients in them. Who knew what could happen if the missing cupcake fell into the wrong hands?
As she pondered this, Akako pealed the wrapper from one of the remaining pastries and took a bite. She hummed appreciatively to herself; not bad. The dragonfly eggs really gave an extra punch to the cherry filling, and the snake's milk left the cake nice and moist. She lifted the cupcake to take another bite and paused when she saw her hands. A soft glow was radiating from her skin.
Okay, she admitted to herself, so maybe the glow-in-the-dark chocolate frosting had been a bad idea. Still, it wasn't often when one could out-glow a firefly.
Remembering the missing cupcake from the tray, Akako began to laugh. Someone was in for a nasty surprise.

Kaitou Kid swung around a building just on time to avoid a shower of bullets. Three seconds later, his stomach caught up with him. Swallowing against nausea, Kid spared a moment to regret stealing a cupcake on the way to the heist. It had looked awfully tempting, though--still steaming from the oven and lightly frosted with chocolate; he'd always been weak against chocolate--and he'd missed dinner besides. He really hadn't thought one cupcake would do much damage.
Kid ducked instinctively at the sound of another shot--for once that night at someone else. That was another thing; suddenly, the Kaitou Kid Task Force could aim. They never used to be able to hit within a thirty foot radius of him.
It was almost like he glowed in the dark or something.

...Come to think of it, I do a lot of MK fics with cooking. I wonder if it's going to be a theme with me.
Anyway, that said? I'm probably never going to do a line-and-character/pairing challenge again. This one killed me X_x From now on, it's idea/concept-and/or-character/pairing. And if that wasn't one of the most confusing sentences I've ever typed, thenI haven't been paying enough attention I don't know what is.
