Summary: Thoughts on heaven
Sometimes Kaito wondered if it--Pandora, the gem, 'it'--wasn't actually a star.
He wondered if it wasn't really a star, because it would make sense in a twisted sort of way. A gem tucked into the sky, hanging for everyone to see but always out of reach. A red one whose color could only be glimpsed on nights when the moon was full, and then only out in the country and when the night was as dark and still as it could get, when thoughts and emotions could echo. The immortality those men--the ones who killed his father, the ones who searched for the gem, 'those men'--searched for simply a metaphor for how the heavens never changed and never died.
He thought it would be nice if Pandora were really a star. If Pandora were a star, his father need only reach across heaven to steal it.
...I think my romantic side is showing, don't you?
I've been... pre-occupied, if you will, by alternate interpretations for what little information we get about Pandora ever since Icka put that 'Full Moon' pic up... nine months ago? Something like that. First time I played with it was in Misinformation, and this time definately won't be the last. (My favorite so far is turning 'moonlight' into 'moonshine', so you drop the gem into a glass of really pure home-made alcohol and it glows red; then, the moonshine turns into the Elixer of life :D It would also explain why all the Black Org members have alcoholic code names.)
