So, yes ^^; Above quote is from Shaun of the Dead, "A Romantic Comedy--With Zombies!" =D Got a copy of it the other day. (It came with a copy of Dawn of the Dead, and I'm not sure whether or not I'm happy about this yet. I think it's the remake, too, which may or may not factor into possible happiness.) ...I think I forgot how good this movie is XD. If anyone out there decides to watch it, make sure you pay attention to what goes on in the background! It's _funny_. (Favorite sceenes include: the one where Shaun is flipping channels and _still_ gets a whole news story X3, and the one where he runs into his friend (Eve?) and her group and they're exactly the same!!! Also, 'David' looks almost exactly like an older wimpier Harry Potter, IMHO.) And now, knowing what happens, the movie is actually _better_. You can see all the blatant foreshadowing and self-fulfilling prophecies and whatnot. It's a scream.
And the movie would so work without zombies in it at all. It could totally stand on its own two feet and just be a romantic comedy. But it is so much more amusing to see it lurch X3
I think it's good research for my Zombie musical. Except my musical is going to be about zombies and not about people running from zombies. (Because, quite frankly, American theatre is usually too realistic for my tastes.) And will possibly help feed that zombie!fic plunny that's been hanging around since, what, November? Also, Dad says I need to reference Thriller at some point and, as long as we have (a copy of) it, Dawn of the Dead as well. Maybe eventually some other stuff, too, we'll see. Purely as research, mind.

Played cards for about six-and-a-half hours on Friday with Pat, Chris, and Chris. Was well entertained. Missed lunch.

With that, I skip merrily off to sleep work on a paper that's due Tuesday that my friends all told me to put off until Monday night, DAMN THEM AND THEIR APPEALING YET ILLOGICAL WAYS! (I don't mean that, really I don't ;_; I just really actually wanted to _write_ this damn paper before I had to, is all T-T). Wish me luck--and remind me to use more evidence! I'm terrible at that. Oh, and to connect back to my thesis, just because.
