Aaaaangst!
May. 30th, 2005 07:29 pm....Okay, this is what I was going to do an entry about:
I went to the book store today (B&N, if you care to know) and stocked up. Got Vol 5 of xxxHolic <3 and Vols 6 and 7 of Tokyo Babylon. And I read most of xxxHolic in the store, and was going to go on and on about how very not straight Watanuki is, and how Doumeki completely has a thing for him, and how Yuuko probably knows, and oh, Ame-Warashi X Zashiki-Warashi = OTP!!! ^____^ And how cute the Pipe Fox (Kuda kitsune) was <3 <3 <3 and how my sneaking suspicion that there is something not-quite-right about Himawari-chan was not fueld by this volume, and so forth.
Except then I got home and I read the Tokyo Babylon books.
...Okay, I knew what was going to happen ^^; Well, sort-of. See, spoilers and I have been very good friends for several years now, and I rarely go into a new series these days without finding some. I haven't really been very into Tokyo Babylon so I didn't ever know many specific spoilers for it, but I did know the basics. (X helped.) Finally reading it for myself was... something else. It's just.... aaaaaangst x_x Man, Subaru has it rough. And the glove thing... *shiver*
...Also, something tells me it would read better in Japanese. I dunno why. Something about the style just strikes me as 'off'. I'm working on the assumption that it's just our culture or our language, but Sei-chan didn't quite seem APD enough to me, and the whole 'one person can never truly know how another feels' kinda doesn't sit right with me. *shrugs* 'S pro'ly just me.
Must... find... cheerful... fic...! Cheer... self... up! Recover... from angst... overdose!
Edit: I, uh, meant Monday the 30th, really ^_^;;; <--- can't time travelunless it's one second per second forward yet
