SFA Highlights

While waiting for manga scanlations to download, I decided to pick up Slime Forest Adventure again. For those of you who aren't familiar with it, SFA is an old-style RPG that you play to learn Japanese. It's lots of fun ^_^ and is quite helpful with memorizing kana. What better motivation to remember than fighting slimes?

One of my favorite things about SFA is the (frequently sarcastic) Non-Playable Characters. The NPCs say such delightful things as:
"Don't mind me, I'm just your poor half-starved brother who tends the fields while you're off doing whatever it is you do instead of actually selling potatoes." (Quote Jenk's (main character) brother)

Or, at the king's castle:
Girl 1: My sister and I both love the same man. He won't decide, so we are asking the king what to do.
Girl 2: My sister is trying to steal my boyfriend. The king will throw her in the dungeon!
Man: Just between you and me, I want to keep them both. How could I pull that off?

Anyway, it's currently still being made, which means that downloads are free! Or, if you want to register and put money towards development, you can do that and be guaranteed a copy of the finished version (whenever it gets done). I heartily reccomend that you go check it out ^_^
