Fic progress (read as: whining)
Nov. 5th, 2005 11:37 pmIt's almost midnight and I'm still up. I miss sleep.
Communications: 'Finished' the next chapter. I'm not to fond of it, though, so I'm probably going to go through and do a total re-write. Still, it's a completion.
MoF's B-day fic: Having issues here. Everything I seem to come up with always has Kairi in it. Now, I love my OT3, but not everyone does, and I try to be flexible. Still, I'm at a bit of a loss. I thought I managed to track something down this afternoon; it's considerably AU and I'm rather fond of the concept if nothing else, but it has issues. For one thing, it won't feel complete to anyone but me. For another, it's leaning far too gen to count as Riku/Sora. I'm this close to just giving up and writing the story of the supermarket paopu incident, even though it's also OT3-ish. I think my big problem is timeline issues. I could resolve this pretty easily if I could just think of a decent world to crossover with. Then again, maybe I could just have a nice introspective fic with either Riku or Sora wandering through Traverse Town and thinking about the other. Or something. I dunno, I'm tired.
Summercloud's B-day fic: More problems =_= It's the line of diologue that's really giving me issues. That, or the fact that fic was specifically requested. I think I may have a way around it if I can twist it around, but it's still giving me issues. How do I tie purple and a pen in with eating out of a dumpster, anyway? *sigh* (Happy birthday
summercloud, while I still have time!)
PLEASE NOTE: I know this whole thing seems terribly whiney and pointless, but for some reason that's often the only way I can get around to solving my writing problems: complaining about them. Mostly I end up deleting the complaints once I have something reasonable, but I think I may leave them up this time so I don't forget the conclusions I reached. Or to demonstrate my problem-solving technique. Or maybe I'm just too lazy and/or tired.
On that note, I probably should've complained more about Communications. Ah, well. I'll tear it aparttomorrow after I get some sleep.
