...:D;;; Okay, so, there is talk (friendslocked) on campersfuckoff of maybe possibly a CFUD 'convention' in July of next year? And it would probably have to be in the midwest because that way people on the west and east coasts have to travel about the same distance to get where it is? And the state lineup was something like Nebraska/Kansas/Iowa, and "If we have a CFUD-er there who can be a go-between for us and hotels, that would be awesome" and stuff. ...And I kinda said that if no one else volunteered then I would do it, 'cuz I live in Iowa and stuff.

And now I'm really really tempted to make this long, drawn-out good PR post for the city I live in, even though the convention itself would probably have to be held in Des Moines or Ceder Rapids or Coralville.

Socchan: ...But we totally have two hotels within a stone's throw of each other downtown. And they're right next to the library, and not all that far from a parking ramp or two, a comic store, and the Fun Zone. And we've only actually had one tornado hit us in over 100 years of being a city. And I could show Zadar: Cow From Hell, and it would be awesome. And despite being in the middle of Iowa, we're actually wildly liberal.

...'Course, I'd also have to point out things like how we're actually a college-and-university town, so there would probably also be things like construction going on during the summer and it being extra important to watch your drink and stuff if you decide to go out barhopping and our roads are somewhat confusing at times. Plus I'm the only CFUD fan I know of here (though I would like to fix that).

Anyway, regardless if it actually happens in Iowa or not, if it actually does happen? I will move heaven and earth to go to it.
