Snow, books, and... job?
Jan. 17th, 2007 08:40 pmYeah, so, two days without updating when I technically could have. Uh. I don't know what to say?
Well, first off, there's snow. A good couple inches. Not enought to cancel school, of course, but it's there, and that's the important part. And I'm happy about it! Not because the snow melt means we'll have more water for farms and stuff come spring (though it does), not because it looks damn pretty out there (though it does), not because I have fun driving in it for some reason (though I do), and certainly not because my brother and I have to shovel it (though we do appreciate the fact that we had so little to shovel). No, I'm happy for the snow because it is winter, and we damn well should have snow out there! It's cold, it's miserable, it's the middle of January, we need our snow to go with it! I'm accustomed to snow in the winter, and now that it's here, I can feel better, and stop worrying so much that it's saving all of the stuff up for July or something.
Secondly, I, uh, have a job. Well, not at this very moment, but my cousin-in-law talked to the guy who runs The Pit (a barbeque place downtown - good stuff), and apparently all I need to do is go in sometime and talk to him to work out hours and stuff. I'm planning to go with Christine (my Life Counselor) tomorrow; she will be there to make sure I don't chicken out and not actually go. And possibly to make me call Jennifer ahead of time to ask questions I couldn't think of when she innitially broke the news to me.Or maybe just to confirm the name of the guy I'm supposed to talk to ^^a I think it might be Jeff?
( Finished reading a couple things, too... )
Anyway. That's what I've been doing recently. And also finishing up one of the two pictures I plan to shove at Chisame (at CFUD) come Febuary 2nd (her birthday). And then working on a different picture that I kinda vaguely owe Tsuzuki IC-ly, as I said I would, and now feel somewhat guilty since I hadn't finished it. (Speaking of finishing things, I've got a bunch of kisses that I really need to scan.)
And that's about it, really. Except for the fact that it's about 15 degrees colder in my room than it is upstairs, thus making my ratties hide in cloth scraps most of the day :(
