Dec. 26th, 2007 08:43 pmThis is basically another of your standard "I aten't dead" entries, to let the internet know that I am indeed still alive and kicking.
About the only point of interest that I can think to mention is that, despite Iowa weather not cooperating for the past x many years and showing more than a few signs of continuing this fine tradition, we had a white ExMas. A very very white ExMas. Almost blindingly so, in fact. And we're getting yet more snow as I type. And I swear to ...something, if the snow continues to pack well, I am so going out there tomorrow-ish to build a snow katamari. Because it needs to be done, and I am crazy.
In other news, I got too much stuff at Half Price Books today (there's one within an hour of my home! I'm shocked!) for too little money ($13.00 USD plus books in Japanese traded in) and am quite pleased. I was also given a number of books for ExMas, two of them autographed by the author and inscribed to me. Which brings me to a question...
Anyone out there have any opinions on the works of Mickey Zucker Reichert? I'm giving The Legend of Nightfall a try regardless, but I like to be able to manage my expectations.
Similar note, I'm writing ficcage for ExMas and/or New Years if it kills me. I've had the Holiday Spirits bunny for too long, dammit, it is getting out of my brain and onto paper! Also, if any "twelve days of Christmas" fics would like to cooperate with me beyond the basic premise of "No one gets what they really want for Christmas," I would be much obliged. ...The only fic besides Holiday Spirits that you are definitely getting is another classic crossover (similar to Holiday Spirits, which is A Christmas Carol and DC/MK, but not quite at the level of that Avatar/Seuss crossover I wrote a while back), and that's really all I'm saying about it.
