1) Remember how I said yesterday that I didn't have any particularly novel-esque ideas for NaNo aside from Snow White, which I'm not doing yet? Yeah. Spoke too soon.

I've now got a basic concept I rather like and the barest impression of a plot and main character. I need several more supporting characters, a better idea of the plot, and to figure out timing issues, but it is entirely possible that it may end up being a Thing. I don't know how to feel yet.

2) Related to 1, I now have an account on Ravelry. I figure, since I'm going to be spending the next month crocheting birthday/Xmas presents so I can potentially write in November, I may as well get access to a site that can direct me to some appropriate patterns. Getting started on socks for Mom first, then I need to figure out what to make for Dad and Bro.

3) Remember that car accident I was in back in January? Going to court about it tomorrow. I'm pretty sure I saved a detailed account of the events in a document somewhere on my computer, but I'm not positive it's still there; I've reinstalled my OS since then and don't know that I thought to copy it over at the time. I didn't actually think court was going to be a thing.

I'm not horribly worried either way, but it is a bit of a pain.

4) So far, so good on the stimulants.

Back from court; things went about as well as they could have, and I did a good job on the stand :>

Point of interest: 'Round these particular parts, we don't swear on or by any deity or holy book, we just swear that we're tellin' the truth. I find that to be way cool.

Anyway, Mom said she'd reward me for doing the Public Speaking Thing with a book, so I'm off to B&N to get one of those! Ta!
