Anime Iowa Approacheth

soc_puppetIn slightly less than an hour, I hope to be on the road to Anime Iowa with Chris and my brother.
My brother's costume has been finished and looks more or less fantastic (despite the fact that the sleeves of the green shirt are but an illusion), and he is ready to go with a white fan and a Pez with a bunny head on it. And lots of Pez candy. He so owes me for this.
My plans: Go and have fun. I am not to expect to run into any CFUD fans, despite the fact that I know there are still a number of lurkers out there. If I do expect this, then my hopes will be crushed if I don't, and I'll end up not enjoying myself. I am to expect to have to explain my T-shirts over and over again, and the crazy wacky things that happen at CFUD, and why I have ticky-boxes in my purse, and why I want to have a picture of Gwendal from KKM and Wolfwood from Trigun pose together in a couple-y manner. Ditto to Kabuto and Heather, Itachi and Neji, Chizuru and Chisame, etc etc. (Am I forgetting anyone? Oh! Hanatarou and Raenef (sp?). If I can possibly recognize the latter, that is ^^a And probably Demyx and Komui, if I can find both. Because I am a bad, bad person.)
I have food, sleeping bag, pillow and clothes ready to go, and money from my checking account tucked away in my wallet. I have my pencil and eraser and some notecards. I have my meds packed.
Okay. I think I'm ready.
