It's time for another episode of America's favorite game show: Rotate! That! Mattress!

Edit: And returning contestant Socchan has done it again! The mattress has been rotated 180°, and the sheets changed at the same time. This time around, Socchan notably chose not to move the dresser at the foot of the bed, seeming to save some extra seconds in the final time and some overall effort. Will Socchan continue this gamble in upcoming appearances? Only time will tell!

Today, as in every episode, Socchan walks away with a mattress that has been slightly rejuvenated and whose lifespan has been extended just a bit longer, as well as the feeling of sleeping on fresh sheets to look forward to.

Ahhh, the most challenging item on the maintenance list.

After enjoying one at VRBO rental, we sprung for one of those all-foam mattresses that come vacuum-packed. It is indeed comfortable, but it's directional--one can't flip it, only rotate it.

They claim it will last 7 years, which is around as long as I can tolerate a mattress before I need a new one. (Firm! Stony! Hard is what I want.)

Honestly, it's one I actually manage to do, so it's a couple notches down from the top on my personal challenge rating system.

My mattress is in the same position of no flip, only rotate, but the site I ordered it from (EcoTerra?) gave me ten years for it, so I'm hoping that'll hold true. I spent some of my Covid check on it, and have generally enjoyed it, so I'm doing my best to follow the directions and keep it, uh, "healthy".
