Blah blah blah, LJ wank, ambition at last
Aug. 8th, 2007 03:22 pmAhahahah. Suddenly stumbled on more free time today than I thought I had, mostly due to my occasional calenderic dyslexia. Appointment with Christine is next Wednesday, not this one ¦D;

Well. Apparently more sh1t happened after I went home last night. Better late than never, I guess.
As I left the lab last night, I contemplated making a long essay of an entry comparing what LiveJournal has become to the collective metaphorical homophobic/racist grandmother figure - but then I thought better of it, as it could well be Seen and Misinterpreted. (BTW, mine's a homophobic uncle rather than a grandmother.)
I would like to take a brief moment to say: amen to this.
Instead of such depressing topics though, I would like to cover a revelation I had today: I want to be a professor of anime.
For the first time in at least six years, if not my entire life, I have direction. I have ambition. I have a goal and a starting point, and even if it doesn't get me where I'm going, it'll damn well get me somewhere fun.
First steps:
Consider fall class schedule. Dump all non-required classes (except maybe first aid), go for classes in theory of literature, art appreciation, Japanese, and Japanese culture.
