On a different note, opinions:

October 11th is too soon to start planning Winter Holiday cards: Y/N? I need to finalize desiiigns and also start taking requests for doodles on the backs, 'cuz I had way too much fun with that last year.

Depends: are finals going to distract with the production of the cards? Ie, do you need more lead time for making them?

Well, school for me goes right up through about the seventeenth of December (I think), so I guess it would depend on the complexity of the card and the difficulty of my finals? ...Actually, I wouldn't bet against one or more of said finals being take-home, so probably :/

So do it advance, at least starting in a week or two. Because you want to compensate for the finals and the study time and intensity. If I wanna do one, for example, I'd probably start now (lol movie production taking away my Saturdays. :|)

Sounds reasonable. I'll probably start taking addresses around mid-November, then. Or as soon as someone else posts asking for them first. Now all that's left to do is think about concepts...

*laugh* I already have my entire Christmas shopping list planned out--people, their gifts, and the prices for their gifts. I'm going to start buying a week from tomorrow, once my next paycheck is in the bank. I'm excited about it!

And I'm also thinking about Christmas cards--was thinking I'd make my post about it soon, too, if only to give myself a little more time to write the things! And also to find cards that I really like for various peoples XD So I'll probably make the post within the next couple of weeks ^^;;

Heh. I'm nearly done with Christmas shopping for my family. Just the little brother left. I haven't decided on a card theme yet for my cards. I suppose I ought to do them before I start NaNoWriMo, otherwise I won't have the energy.

Well, you know how I love to do that whole "make your own" thing myself ;) ...Hmm. Maybe I should make Candy/Jeva + Mistletoe cards this year.

This is the first year I've had the money to really go all-out for people! But that's also why I did my research and looked up prices--this is taking planning to make sure I'm not sending myself directly to the poor-house with this ^^;;

I have no artistic ability whatsoever, so I leave the self-design to you arteests and just buy the cards I use =P And...no. Just...no XD

I still have to do my shopping ^^a Truthfully, I usually put all holiday shopping off until December, if only because my birthday is at the end of November, but I've been relaxing my standards as far as cards are concerned the last few years. Also, I find that to be a good plan.

I will admit that the thought had never crossed my mind, but for this year at least I think I'll stick with buying 'em :) What are you thinking of doing for this year's cards? Bet they'll be awesome!

Sounds good ^_^b I'm currently torn between the simple (Liprape!Mistletoe (as inspired by CFUD - we get it every six months or so, and if your character is found under it, everyone around them will be mysteriously compelled to kiss him/her)) and the complex (Kata-Merry Holidays from your friend Socchan :Db Complete with Katamari rolling up presents and a little prince-ified me.)

He's so tiny and cute T^Tb And I have no idea what to do with him. Maybe I'll sit him by my Bleach plushies and CLAMP chess pieces. He'd be in good company that way, if nothing else.
