A quick heads up to Avatar fans

For those of you unaware (like me, prior to Detour, and still doubtful until checking Amazon.com just a minute ago), the next Avatar DVD is slated to come out May 6th of this year. (Also, just glancing around Amazon, what the hell is this?)

Anyhow, back on topic. Given the five-episodes-per-DVD pattern, this would suggest that the next four episodes at least will be aired by then. (This is, of course, assuming that episode 3x12 was not, in fact, aired on Friday while I was at the con and not watching it - which I am doubting, given the lack of talk about it everywhere on my f'list, but could also be because everyone has already seen the @#%#$% thing via the Canadian showing.) ...Should the episodes not have aired by then, due to some error on Nickelodeon's judgment, and, due to some yet greater error in judgment, they do indeed release the DVD, I uh. K-kinda may volunteer my services as a Bad Capitalist. Should need arise. Y-yeah.

Did they start the last half of season three yet? :(

The last one I saw was "The Day of Black Sun: Eclipse" (part 2). As far as I know, nothing has aired since then, at least not in the states.

It definitely didn't air this past Friday. They've filled Friday with Drake and Josh (ugh).

Not to the best of my knowledge :/ Though they've apparently shown the two episodes following Eclipse in Canada. Anyway, the last episode on the second season three DVD is the first part of Black Sun, and I highly doubt that Nick would release a DVD with only one episode, so the release date does suggest that they'll maybe start showing episodes soon-ish.

That's actually something of a relief to hear; I'd been hearing that it'd been aired while I was at the con, which would've made no sense to me (no advertising, no fannish uproar, etc) but which I apparently wouldn't have put past them. I'm glad they didn't.

All I've heard so far was that at NY Comic Con, they'll show previews of the series finale which is expected by summer-ish (May? June?) and it's going to be a 4-part kind of finale. Other than that, NOTHING.

It was listed on Nick's TV Schedule last week, but when I turned it on to watch no Avatar. :(

Well, a 4-part finale still leaves five episodes they can show between now and then. And if it's May, then they can start on the finale episodes after releasing the DVD. [/numbers] GIVE ME MY KICKASS GIRL CHARACTERS, NICKELODEON!
