Just signed up for kinked! Wah, so nervous /)_(\ Baby's first Big Bang anything, and I go for the one with sexy implications. I'mma try hard, though! *determined pose* And it's the excited kind of nervous, too, so it's less bad than it might be; it's just a little overwhelming.

On that note, sign ups for betas and accompanying media have gone up there :3b I'm still contemplating signing up to do art for something myself, especially since it might be a nice break from working on my own story, haha ^^a I guess I'll see how I feel about it when it gets closer to the sign up deadline.

I kinda wanna flail about my own story to someone, but I'm wondering if it might actually be easier to make myself finish it if I don't. Finally being able to talk about it could be a great motivator for finishing. I guess I'll have to find out :|a

Jeez, I get tired early these days. Nine-thirty and I'm ready to turn out the light o_O (Well, nearly ten now, but I was ready half an hour ago.) Maybe I can convince myself to get some writing done before I turn in, at least... I mean, no harm in starting early, right? ;) Now all I need to do is decide whether I want to start by typing, or on paper (and, if paper, in a notebook or looseleaf)...

Oooo, cool! :D Yeah, having to have something finished before sharing it with the world does help, but I find that having one or so people whom you can bounce ideas off of helps too. (Not necessary, but I know S&tB is better for it)

I'm already beta-ing for Mel's ofic, so I don't know if I should commit to this as an official beta(but if you just want to blab about stuff, feel free) since I don't know if I'd have the consistent time to give it. However, I can do illustrations if you need them - do I sign up or do you just list me as your artist?

Ooo, I would love to have someone to bounce ideas off of. I take it you're offering? ;) ♥ I mean, I've got the beginning and the ending reasonably clear-ish, but there's some details that need working out, and right now the middle is mostly, "And they get to know each other better over a period of time, in which kinky tentacle sex happens regularly". Also, there's backstory what needs fleshing out, to help make the other bits make more sense.

...I will have to ask the mods about that! I'm pretty sure that in general they'll be assigning artists and writers to one another based on matching interests, but since you're offering to do art for my story specifically rather than whoever you'd be assigned to, the rules might be different. I'll get back to you once I know.

^__^ Yep, bring 'em on. And yeah, the middle always gives me the most problems too, I mean, you know where you're starting and where you're heading, but ~getting~ there can be full of surprises *g* (also, yaay kinky tentacle sex :D )

Huzzah \o/ How do you want to do this? I work best with non-immediate forms of communication (e-mail, LJ-style comments or PMs, etc) rather than immediate ones (instant messaging/chatting, phones), but you mentioned your online time is limited, so yeah. My first thought is to type the stuff I've already got up and send it to you as a document that you could download or print off to look at later, and then we could figure it out from there. What would work for you?

Response is up :/ It's quite possible that I worded my question badly, or that I'm misinterpreting, but it looks like you can't sign up to be my artist specifically. So I guess your options would be to either draw for me unofficially, and I'd end up assigned to a different media person officially (possibly with podfic or a fanmix or something instead of art, even), or you sign up and are really really specific about what you'd draw for and hope for the best (I think Coyo might also have signed up to write, if that makes a difference at all). Alternately, I could have another go at trying to explain my question to the mods, though I also don't want to piss them off >_< Thoughts?
