soc_puppet: Dreamsheep as Lumpy Space Princess from Adventure Time (Can't talk--reading)

I unintentionally spent the entire weekend (after 5:00 on Friday) away from the internet. Friday evening, even after Study Buddies was over, my folks were hosting a party (which I managed to be non-social for most of, success!). Saturday we hosted a fund raising garage sale for the Quire, and I accidentally slept in 'til noon. And then I was just too lazy to head to the lab. But I had totally meant to go in on Sunday ...except then Mom, Dad and I spent the day going to Half Price Books in CR, which ended with (relatively) cleaner shelves for me, though I still need to get some of my books off the floor already.

I also took a gamble, and spent my book money on Wen Spencer titles. And then stayed up until three this morning reading Tinker, s-so. NO REGRETS. Currently making my way through the library copy of Wolf Who Rules.

Tomorrow promises to be full of much awesome :3 My plans are as follows:

* First thing in the morning: Go to Best Buy, purchase copy of Avatar/Book 3/Volume 3, possibly also Tin Man
* P-possibly be a Bad Capitalist (I'm thinking episode fifteen first, since fourteen was out in Brazil? Thoughts, anyone?)
* Instead of finals, PIZZA PARTY with way cool Intro to Eastern Religions teacher \o/ Mmm, pizza
* HOVER at the library, in hopes that a copy of the next Percy Jackson and the Olympians book will be available for checkout
* Read more books \o (and/or possibly write more)

....Oh yeah, I feel I should mention that I've not yet written more than a thousand words for [livejournal.com profile] summerwrite, which I should probably feel guilty about, except I'm just using it as a means to write a damn novel already. Though I am giving serious thought to actually starting and participating in the "Write a Self-Insert, But Get It Right!" challenge. Mine would be this long sprawling thing, in which my avatar is traversing various universes in order to write a very bizarre anthropology report/paper/thing, and thus is doing as little as humanly possible to effect any of the worlds permanently 8D ...I'll shut up now.

And that's all for now, I think? Yes, that sounds right.

Have you read A Brother's Price by Spencer yet? I kind of love the way it screws with the standard romance novel formula.

Also I would totally read that self-insert.
