I don't have a problem with the dirty and used and real! I was actually complaining that it wasn't steampunk enough for my tastes.
I know pilots don't decide everything that happens in a series; I'm just saying that I wasn't sufficiently interested in this particular one to give the rest a shot on that alone. But I guess there's no harm in looking at another episode or two...
